Peace Chapel

Peace Chapel gathers grief, hope, and wonder beneath an immense night sky. A solitary figure raises her arms beside the stone circle as the moon emerges from clouds and a streak of light crosses the stars. The open chapel and surrounding hills become a place to breathe, grieve, and keep walking.

Inspired by a dear friend’s journey through cancer and by walking Maya Lin’s Peace Chapel near Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, the painting honors friendship, endurance, and the moments of beauty that can accompany life’s hardest passages.
