π (Pi)

π (Pi) is a 10" × 10" original acrylic painting on birch with dimensional impasto and luminous gold leaf. An aspen tree becomes a meditation on pattern, growth, and the infinite rhythms found in nature.

Inspired by π—the irrational number whose sequence continues without end—the painting connects the repeating concentric forms, branches, and seasons with life’s own cycles of hardship, abundance, change, and renewal. The richly textured surface and reflective gold leaf shift as the light changes.
