Vortex

Vortex is a 22" × 28" acrylic painting on canvas depicting the rugged canyon landscape of Swan Falls beneath a vast, spiraling orange sky. Bands of turquoise, gold, violet, and coral sweep overhead, pulling the eye into the center of the composition while the quiet river and dark canyon walls ground the scene.

This colorful western landscape evokes the charged stillness of open country and the powerful, unseen movement of sky, land, and water.
